EBW Firing Modules

FM150 | FM151 | Interconnect & Firing Leads

The FE106 and FD201 firing systems consist of a control unit and a separate high voltage firing module (or modules). Each firing module is connected to the control unit by a control cable, containing three twisted pair screened cables, which connects the arming, monitoring and firing functions. Both systems can be supplied with a choice of three different firing modules depending on your particular requirements.

FM150 & FM150L EBW Firing Modules
FM150 The FM150 is our standard EBW firing module. It can be deployed at up to 300m from the Control Unit. The FM150 contains an automatic energy dump system which will safely discharge the capacitor in the event of the loss of power or arming signal. A flashing neon lamp is powered directly from the output circuit as an additional local indication that the unit is charged.

The FM150L is similar to the FM150 but has a low power charging circuit. The lower current drain enables the user to deploy the firing module at up to 1.2 Km from the control unit. The only performance penalty is that the firing module will take about 25 seconds to arm as opposed to 10 seconds for the standard version.

Note: The FM150 or FM150L firing modules can be stowed in the lid of the FD201 control unit when not in use.

FM151 EBW Firing Module
FM150
The FM151 uses the same electronics package as the FM151L but is fitted in a pressure vessel designed for underwater use at up to 500m depth. It is fitted with Impulse wet-pluggable connectors.

Interconnect & Firing Leads

Reynolds supply a range of interconnect leads to connect the control unit to the firing modules and to connect the firing modules to the detonators.

300-0009 300-0009

Interconnect lead part no. 300-0009 can be used to connect the FM150 or FM150L firing modules to either the FE106 or FD201 control units. It can be supplied in any length up to 300m. If longer interconnects are required (for example for use with the FM150L) then these leads can be connected back-to-back using interconnect box P/N 410-0023A.

300-0014 300-0014

Interconnect lead part no. 300-0014 can be used to connect the FM151 underwater firing module to either the FE106 or FD201 control units. It can be supplied in any length up to 300m.

300-0015 300-0015

Interconnect lead part no. 300-0015 can be used to extend the underwater portion of 300-0014 above in steps of up to 300m to a total maximum length of 1200m. Interconnect boxes are not required with this lead.

232_0020 232_0020

Firing lead part no. 232_0020 is used to connect an FM150 or FM150L firing module to the detonator. It uses Reynolds low impedance 'C-cable' to maximise the power delivered to the detonator. It is fitted with a Reynolds 310 high voltage coaxial connector at one end to mate with the output connector on the firing module. For optimum firing performance these leads should be specified between 5m and 100m length.

222_0002 222_0002

Firing lead part no. 222_0002 is used to connect an FM151 underwater firing module to the detonator. It uses Reynolds low impedance 'C-cable' to maximise the power delivered to the detonator. It is fitted with an Impulse 'wet-pluggable' connector at one end to mate with the output connector on the firing module. For optimum firing performance these leads should be specified between 5m and 100m length.
