"Quiet Line" Distributed Loss R.F. Attenuation Line
Introduction and General Specifications
Reynolds Industries has developed a continuously extruded, distributed loss,
low pass filter line for high voltage applications. Quiet line is a flexible
element offering R.F. power attenuation which can be spliced onto an existing
high voltage cable assembly or supplied as an entire high voltage cable
assembly.
Reynolds also offers the Quiet Line cable as a complete length of cable ready
for installation into any kind of potted assembly or connector.
"Quiet Line" is available with or without a silicone rubber coating; this
coating is applied over the PFA insulation in the form of a thin wall,
continuous extrusion that allows the user to achieve a superior dielectric bond
when bonding or potting witha compatible silicone rubber adhesive or potting
material. "Quiet Line" is available either shielded or non-shielded with or
without the silicone rubber coating. Seven loss core diameters are offered
providing a range of rated voltages and R.F. insertion loss characteristics.
Figure 3 cables are shielded versions of Figure 1 cables. Figure 4 cables are
shielded versions of Figure 2 cables. The table provides data with regard to
the centre conductor, attenuation per foot (305mm), overall diameter and the
operating voltage for each of the standard configurations shown.
Ordering Information
Specify the length of cable required or if cable assembly with "Quiet Line"
fitted is required provide full details of connector and cable to our Sales
personnel and we will quote accordingly.
Special configurations are available pending a review of your requirements by
Reynolds. Cable types with FEP and silicone rubber have been developed, these
and other constructions are available upon request.
